Question 1024347
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

30% of 60% is 18%, so 18% of the population is girls taking band. 70% of 40% is 28%, so 28% of the population is girls taking chorus. Hence, 18% plus 28% of the population are girls, or 46%. What's left of 100% are boys, presuming, of course, that there aren't any students in the population who are confused about their gender identity and were not counted in the percentage calculations.
