Question 88135
The formula for Circumference is {{{C= pi*d }}} or {{{C= 2*pi*r}}}. Since you want the radius, take the second equation:

{{{C= 2*pi*r}}}
{{{132= 2*(22/7)*r}}}
{{{132= (44/7)*r}}}

To eliminate the fraction {{{44/7}}}, multiply both sides by the reciprocal of the fraction which is {{{7/44}}} .
{{{(7/44)*(132/1)=(7/44)* (44/7)*r}}}
{{{7*3 = r}}}

Did you notice that 44 divides into 132 exactly 3 times? That may make the calculation easier. Or just use a calculator. It comes out to an even 7*3= 21 yards.
