A circle can be inscribed IN a triangle or circumscribed ON a triangle.  Inscribed ON a triangle makes no sense.  Is the circle you are looking for tangent to each of the three sides of the triangle (inscribed) or does it pass through the three vertices of the triangle (circumscribed)?
