Question 1020573
.
If a cylinder has a diameter of 12cm and 26cm for height and it has a smaller cylinder inside with a diameter of 4.2cm what is the volume?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Probably, you mean that there is a cylindrical hole ("small cylinder") inside the larger cylinder.
If so, then the volume of the remaining solid body is the difference of the volume of the larger cylinder
and the volume of the smaller cylinder.
For an example of such calculation see the lesson <A HREF=http://www.algebra.com/algebra/homework/word/geometry/Solved-problems-on-volume-of-cylinders.lesson>Solved problems on volume of cylinders</A>, Problem 3 in this site.
