Hi! I am a 7th grade pre-algebra student and I was trying to complete a homework packet with this title: Percent Proportion Word Problems. The directions are: Solve each word problem. Show each proportion and label each answer. The question I need help on is as follows:

The movie theater has 250 seats. 225 seats were sold for the current showing. Write a proportion and solve for the percent of seats that are empty. 
I tried out this problem and set up my proportion like this: 
225    x
--- = ---
250 100
-----
Note:: 225 is the number of seats sold (filled)
250-225 is the number of seats that are empty.
---
x/100 = 25/250
x = 100*(1/10) = 10%
