Question 1019903
Look at the slopes after you have the equation in the form y=mx+b
The first is 26y=14x-632; y=(7/13)x-632/13
The second has slope 7/13. These lines are parallel, and the intercepts are different.
-----------------------------------
-2y=-380+14x
y=-7x+190. Slope is 7. That is all that matters.
The other slope is (7/13). These are not equal and they are neither parallel nor perpendicular.
--------
4y=-5x-60
y=(-5/4)x-60
The other is -4/5. Their product is 1, not -1, so these are neither parallel nor perpendicular.
--------------
c. 6y=-x+196, y=-(1/6)x+(196/6)
the other has a slope of -4823/460, which is about 10.5, so they are neither.
--------------
The first has slope of -7 and is y=-7x+190
The second has slope of -7 and is y=-7x+190. They are the same line.
