Question 1018635
Question 1018635

RT=J relates work rate for specific number of agents doing work. For 1 job being the focus, J=1.

If r is the rate of work for 1 man, then rate must be multiplied by the number of men doing
work together.

{{{system(30*r*38=1,30*r*25+(30+5)r*(37-25)=1)}}};
The situation done is the splitting of the job into two parts. That is the five 30 men for only
25 days, and then the increased number of men for for 12 days, to finish the one job.
Note that "one day earlier", would be 37 days total work time.

{{{system(30r*38=1,30r*25+35r*12=1)}}}.
Either equation will allow finding the one-man rate, r, and this MUST be found to be the same
value for both equations. That should be the first goal in solving the problem.
