Question 1014946
Did you mean {{{b^(n+m)}}} and {{{b^(n-m)}}} ?
In that case, with {{{system(b=x,n=3,"and",m=5)}}} ,
{{{b^(n+m)=x^(3+5)=x^8}}} and {{{b^(n-m)=x^(3-5)=x^(-2)=1/x^2}}} .

I don't have your booklet, so I do not know what "laws" your teacher refers to.
I do know that proclaiming "laws" in such a manner is a horrible, dictatorial way of pretending to teach math.
That way of dictating math class should be illegal.
I am sorry that your math class is so dictatorial.
However, humoring the teacher is always safe.
Good luck!
