Question 1014774
Why can we not use point-slope form or slope-intercept form to write the equation of a vertical line?
------
slope = (change in y)/(change in x)
----
But there is no change in x if the line is verical; so the slope requires you divide by 0.
-----
But division by zero is "undefined".
----
So there is no slope to use in pt-slope or slope-int.
