Question 86269
I'll demonstrate #1, then you can do #s 2 and 3 on your own the same way:
-9(x-3)^2=-7
Divide both sides by -9:
{{{(-9(x - 3)^2)/-9}}} = {{{-7/-9}}}
(x - 3)^2 = {{{7/9}}}
Take square roots of both sides:
{{{sqrt(x - 3)^2}}} = + - sqrt({{{7/9}}})
x - 3 = + -{{{sqrt(7)/3}}}
x = 3 + - {{{sqrt(7)/3}}} or {{{(9 +- sqrt(7))/3}}}
