Question 1006655
the perimeter of a rectangle is 42 inches the length of the rectangle is three inches more than twice the width what is the length of the rectangle the length is 2(2w+3)+2(w)=42
I know that you multiply the equation which would 4w+6+2w=42 combine like terms and you get 6w+6=42
then subtract 6 from both sides and you divide 6/36 and get 6 then find the length 2w+3=___inches its the last part of problem I have trouble with
------------------
w = 6
L = 2w+3 = 2*6+3
L = 15
