Question 86003
{{{(5x-3)/6-(x+3)/6}}}
Since these fractions have the same denominator, you can subtract them. Just watch your signs! 5x-x=4x, and -3-3=-6. So you get:
{{{(4x-6)/6}}}
Notice that you can reduce this if you factor a 2 out of the numerator:
{{{2(2x-3)/6}}}
Now, cancel out the 2 with the 6 in the denominator (leaving 3 down there).
{{{highlight((2x-3)/3)}}}
