Question 1004470
.
4sin^-1 x=pi
What is the solution set?
---------------------------

Do you mean this?

4*arcsin(x) = {{{pi}}} ?

If so,  then

arcsin(x) = {{{pi/4}}}     and

x = sin({{{pi/4}}}) = {{{sqrt(2)/2}}}.

It is the unique solution of the equation.

==========

If you mean this

4*{{{1/sin(x)}}} = {{{pi}}},

then   {{{1/sin(x)}}} = {{{pi/4}}}  and   sin(x) = {{{4/pi}}}.

It has no solution at all,  because the right side is greater than  1,  and,  as everybody knows,  sine can not be greater than  1.
