Question 1002998
Treat them as equations with these rules:
Put the x to the left of an inequality as standard form. It is easier.
you can add or subtract to both sides of an inequality without changing it.
you can divide or multiply to both sides of an inequality WITH A POSITIVE NUMBER without changing it.
if you divide or multiply both sides of an inequality BY A NEGATIVE NUMBER, you must change the direction of the inequality.
The equals sign follows the change.
4<6
but -4>-6
The larger number is next to the open part of the inequality. The inequality "points" to the smaller number.
