In the future, be careful with your capitalization.  x is NOT the same thing as X and y is NOT the same thing as Y.  I assume you meant them to be the same.


If y varies directly as x, then *[tex \LARGE y\ =\ kx].  Substitute your initial values of x and y, then solve for k.  Once you have the coefficient of proportionality, k, then you can create a formula that will give you either of the variables given the other.
