Question 992776
Graph each inequality (Linear Inequalities in two variables)
A. x - y > 4
B. 2x - y ≥ 2
C. x + y ≤ 3
D. 3x - 2y > 6
E. x + 2y < 4
------
For each of these do the following::
(I'll use 3x-2y > 6)
1st: Solve for "y":
y < (3x-6)/2
2nd: Graph the EQUALITY (this is the boundary for the Inequalities)
y = (3/2)x - 3
Since your inequality does not include equality, graph
the boundary as a dashed line::
3rd: If your inequality says "y is Less than.." shade the
half-plane BELOW the boundary; If you inequality says "y is
Greater than..." shade the half-plane ABOVE the boundary.
