Question 991160
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

Since the perimeter is 2 times the length plus 2 times the width, half of the perimeter is the length plus the width. Since the length in this case is the width plus 3.75 meters, the length plus the width is 2 times the width plus 3.75 meters. Then 2 times the width is half of the perimeter minus 3.75 meters. Divide by 2 and you have the width.

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \  P\ =\ 2l\ +\ 2w]

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \  l\ +\ w\ =\ 19.05]

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \  w\ +\ 3.75\ +\ w\ =\ 19.05]

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \  2w\ =\ 15.30]

You can tidy up from here, I should think.
