Question 988648
a plane can fly 365 mph in still air. if it can fly 215 mph downwind in the same amount of time it can fly 150 mph upwind, find the velocity of the wind
------------
Windspeed = difference between airspeed and groundspeed.
downwind: 365 - 215 = 150 mi/hr
upwind: 365 - 150 = 215 mi/hr
=====================
The problem makes no sense.
The downwind groundspeed should be greater than the airspeed.
