What do you mean by "solve" in this context?  Do you want to solve for x in terms of y?  Do you want to graph the equation?  Do you want to determine the slope and intercept?  You can't solve it for a specific pair of values of x and y because there are an infinite number of ordered pairs that make your equation a true statement.
