Question 984599
Hi dear,
If you are given equation like this one;(2x-3)(x+2)=4,
All you need to do is to open up the bracket and solve the resulting quadraric equation.
NOW,SEE THE WORKING:
(2x-3)(x+2)=4
open up bracket and collect like terms as follows;
2x²+4x-3x-6-4=0
Then you have,
2x²+x-10=0
You can now solve the quadratic equation by any method of your choice.
TO ME, I PREFER FACTORIZATION METHOD.
This gives;
(2x+5)(x-2)=0
from the above,
x=5/2 or x=2
HOPE THIS HELPS;
Best regards:
