Question 83937
Question:

square root over -8
over 27
there is a small 3 in front of the square root sign too.
Evaluate...

Answer:

The 'small' 3 infront of the squareroot means...you have to find out the cube root of {{{-8/27}}}

 {{{ cubroot (-8/27) }}}

-8 can be written as = -2 * -2 * -2

So cuberoot of -8 = -2 ( since you have to find our cuberoot, group factors of three.....here you have only one group.....take out one number from that group...that is -2)

Similarly 27 can be written as 3* 3* 3

And cuberoot of 27 = 3

So  {{{cube root of (-8/27) }}} = {{{ -2/3 }}}

HOPE YOU FOUND THE EXPLANATION USEFUL....
