Question 84025
<pre><font size = 5><b>
What is the LCM of rational expressions:

x² + 9x + 14, x² + 3x + 2

Factor them both:

  (x+7)(x+2),  (x+2)(x+1)

The LCM must contain each factor or each
expression as many times as it appears in
any ONE expression. Therefore you don't
need to have (x+2) twice because it only
appears one time in each expression.

LCM = (x+7)(x+2)(x+1)
