Question 83591
I do not know how to add a triangle for this problem, but I will try to explain it.
Refer to the triangle. Find an expression that represents its perimeter.
One side is 3/4x, the other side is 5/x^2, and the end is 1/x^2.
I guess you know that the perimeter is:
P = {{{3/(4x)}}} + {{{5/x^2}}} + {{{1/x^2}}}
:
Simplify, the common denominator will be 4x^2: you then have:
P = {{{(x(3) + 4(5) + 4(1))/(4x^2)}}}
P = {{{(3x + 20 + 4)/(4x^2)}}}
P = {{{(3x + 24)/(4x^2)}}}
