according to the condition.


Five years ago Albert's age was &nbsp;(a-5)&nbsp; and Betti's age was &nbsp;(b-5).

So, &nbsp;you have the second equation


a - 5 = 2*(b-5), &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;(2)


according to the condition.


Now, &nbsp;simplify the second equation:


a - 5 = 2b - 10,
