Why did you put the factor of 4 that was in the original numerator into a denominator?  There is no negative exponent on that coefficient.



*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 4x^{-3}\ \not =\ \left(4x\right)^{-3}]
