Question 976116
The question is to show a solution set

{{{2/( 3 + x) + 4 / ( 2x + 2 ) = 10 }}}

So I do this?

{{{( 4x + 4 + 12 + 4x ) / ( 2x^2 + 8x + 6 ) = 10}}}
{{{8x + 16 = 20x^2 + 80x + 60}}}
{{{0 = 20x^2 + 72x + 60}}}
{{{0 = 5x^2 + 18x + 15}}}

Did I do this right? If so what do I do after this point, I don't really understand. If I did this completely wrong please feel free to show what I'm to do.
<pre>Almost!!
You're right up to this point: {{{8x + 16 = 20x^2 + 80x + 60}}}
After this, it should be: {{{0 = 20x^2 + 72x + 44}}}
Factoring out GCF, 4 should then give: {{{0 = 5x^2 + 18x + 11}}}
Now you can solve for x by using the quadratic equation or by completing the square. When complete,
you should get 2 negative roots/zeroes.

You made an error and the person who decided to help you (jos....) made an error too. Go figure!!

Good job in ALMOST determining the correct trinomial!!
