Question 974760
Note: type "sqrt(x)" to mean {{{sqrt(x)}}}

{{{sqrt(16x^2)}}}

{{{sqrt((4x)^2)}}}

{{{abs(4x)}}} where x is any real number

{{{4x}}} where {{{x >= 0}}}

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

{{{sqrt(16x^2)}}} simplifies to {{{abs(4x)}}} if x is any real number.

{{{sqrt(16x^2)}}} simplifies to {{{4x}}} if {{{x>=0}}}

Notice how the answer varies slightly depending on if there is a restriction on x or not.
