Question 973361
What is this, "height of the triangle corresponding to 6 cm. side is 4 cm. "?
You must mean something else. How does 4 cm correspond to 6 cm? Describe the other triangle.

......Now, I understand.
TWO triangles. sides 6 cm and 8 cm of one triangle correspond to 4 cm and y cm of the other triangle. 6 cm of the one triangle is also the height, so these two triangles both are right-triangles.

{{{6/4=8/y}}}

{{{2/3=y/8}}}

{{{(2/3)8=y}}}

{{{y=16/3}}}.

The one triangle has base 8 cm and height 6 cm.
Area, {{{(1/2)8*6}}}
The other triangle has base 4 cm and height 16/3 cm.
Area, {{{(1/2)4*(16/3)}}};
Simplify or compute each area.
