Question 82529
QUESTION:

 find the value of x:

{{{88=11(sqrt(3x)-2)}}}

ANSWER:

{{{88 = 11 (sqrt(3x)-2)}}}

Divde both sides of the expression by 11.

==> {{{88/11 =  (11(sqrt(3x) - 2))/11}}}

==> {{{8 = sqrt(3x) -2}}}

Add 2 to both sides of the equation.....

==> {{{8 + 2= sqrt(3x) -2 + 2}}}

==>{{{ 10 = sqrt(3x)}}}

Square both sides of the equation...

==> {{{10^2 = (sqrt(3x))^2}}}

==> 100  = 3x

Divide both sides of the expression by 3

==> x = 100/3

==> x = 33.33

Hope you found the explanation useful....
