Question 81302
QUESTION:

Graph the functions: f(x)=-2x-5

ANSWER:

f(x)=-2x-5

we can write the equation as,

y = -2x-5

Now give arbitrary values t x and find corresponding values of y.

for example;

when x = 0,

y = -2(0) -5

==> y = 0 - 5

==> y = -5

when x = 1, we have y =  -2(1) - 5 = -2-5 = -7

when x = -1 we have, y = -2 ( -1) -5 = 2 - 5 = -3

and so on..

Now plot these values on the graph paper...

then the graph will come like this......

{{{ graph( 700, 700, -10, 10, -10, 10, -2x-5) }}}

Hope you found this explanation useful.
