Question 948137

-3(1/4x-6)=2x-15
 I already know x=12 but I can't figure out the steps.
<pre>
{{{- 3((1/4)x - 6) = 2x - 15}}}
{{{- 3((x/4 - 6)) = 2x - 15}}}
{{{(- 3x)/4 + 18 = 2x - 15}}}
- 3x + 72 = 8x - 60 ------- Multiplying by LCD, 4
- 3x - 8x = - 60 - 72
- 11x = - 132
{{{x = (- 132)/(- 11)}}}, or {{{highlight_green(x = 12)}}}
