Question 945712

How would I divide this expression x-5/x+2 divide 2x-10/x+2? This is what I have x-5/2(x-10). Am I on the correct track?
<pre><font face = "Tohoma" size = 4 color = "indigo"><b>No, unfortunately, you're not!!
{{{(x - 5)/(x + 2)}}}{{{"÷"}}}{{{(2x - 10)/(x + 2)}}}
{{{(x - 5)/(x + 2)}}}{{{"÷"}}}{{{2(x - 5)cross((2x - 10))/(x + 2)}}} ------- Factoring numerator
{{{(x - 5)/(x + 2)}}}{{{"÷"}}}{{{2(x - 5)/(x + 2)}}}
{{{(x - 5)/(x + 2)}}}{{{"*"}}}{{{(x + 2)/2(x - 5)}}} ------- Changing DIVISION to MULTIPLICATION, and INVERTING FRACTION
{{{cross((x - 5))/cross((x + 2))}}}{{{"*"}}}{{{cross((x + 2))/2cross((x - 5))}}}______{{{highlight_green(1/2)}}}
You can do the check!!
