Multiply top and bottom by LCD {{{(6x/1)}}}

Distribute the {{{(6x/1)}}} in the top and in the bottom:

{{{     ((6x)/1) (8/x) + ((6x)/1) 11)}}}

Simplify the two terms in the top and

If you like you can factor out 6 on the

but there is no reason to, because doing
so does not allow anything else to be
canceled.
