Question 938599

 it costs a restaurant owner $0.28 per glass of orange juice, which sells $1.75 per glass. how many glasses of orange juice must the owner sell to make a profit of $2058.
please help me solve this!
<pre><font face = "Tohoma" size = 4 color = "indigo"><b>Let number of glasses to earn a $2,058 profit, be N
Revenue from selling N glasses at $1.76 per glass: 1.75N
Since cost of each glass = $0.28, then total cost = 0.28(N), or .28N
Revenue, less cost, equals profit, OR
1.75N - .28N = 2,058
1.47N = 2,058
N, or number of glasses to be sold to realize $2,058 profit = {{{2058/1.47}}},   or {{{highlight_green(1400)}}}
You can do the check!!
