If you had (x)^(3/2) you would square root the x and then cube the number.
I.e. [√(2)]^3

So you can conclude that the 2 on the denominator is the degree to which you 'root' and the numerator is the power.

Similarly for this you would get

----
Note that the 5000 would be written as you would a 3 for the cube root.
