Need help with this word problem " when half the positive difference between the 13th and 23rd natural numbers is added to the 34th even number what is the result ? ( the natural numbers are 1,2,3,4,...)
<pre><font face = "Tohoma" size = 4 color = "indigo"><b>13th natural number: 13
23rd natural number: 23
POSITIVE difference between 13th and 23rd natural numbers: 23 – 13, or 10
Half positive difference: ˝ * 10, or 5

34th even number:
{{{a[34] = 0 + (34 - 1)2}}}
{{{a[34] = (33)2}}}
34<sup>th</sup> even number, or {{{a[34] = 66}}}

Sum of half POSITIVE difference between 13<sup>th</sup> and 23<sup>rd</sup> natural numbers, and 34<sup>th</sup> even number is: 5 + 66, or {{{highlight_green(71)}}}
You can do the check!!
