Question 78780
How do I solve f(x)= -3x+4 to find the slope and y intercept ?
The function is in slope intercept form: {{{highlight(y=mx+b)}}}, the slope is the coefficient of x, m. The y-intercept is the constant, b.
The slope of your function is, m=-3
The y-intercept is, b=4. Some teachers prefer (0,b)=(0,4).
