Question 928158

Thanks for the help but now confused because 2 separate people gave me 2 different solutions... Please help. Cathy is 16 years younger than Mary. In 5 years Mary will be twice as old as Cathy. Find their ages now. Is it 11 and 27 or 21 and 37??? Both suruons seem correct. I got 11 and 27 before I asked for help but now I'm worried it's wrong?
<pre>
I gave you the CORRECT answer as:
Cathy's current age: 11
Mary's current age:  27
I also told you to do the check!! Did you? If you did the check, you would've seen that 21 and 37 could not possibly
be correct, since {{{2(26)<>42}}}, or {{{52<>42}}}. Did you not notice this when you did the check, or did you just not do the check?
