Question 927999

how many liters of a 25% chemical solution must be added to 60 liters of a 50% solution to get a 30% solution?

thank you very much if you can help
<pre><font face = "Tohoma" size = 4 color = "indigo"><b>Let amount of 25% solution to be mixed, be T
Then we get: .25T + .5(60) = .3(T + 60)
.25T + 30 = .3T + 18
.25T - .3T = 18 – 30
- .05T = - 12
T, or amount of 25% solution to mix = {{{(- 12)/(- .05)}}}, or {{{highlight_green(240)}}} L
You can do the check!!
