Question 926143
Solve for y.

{{{3x+4y=0}}}

{{{3x+4y-3x=0-3x}}} Subtract 3x from both sides.

{{{4y=-3x}}}

{{{4y/4=-3x/4}}} Divide both sides by 4 to isolate y.

{{{y=(-3/4)x}}}

and there you go. It is now in slope intercept form {{{y=mx+b}}}. In this case, {{{m = -3/4}}} (slope) and {{{b = 0}}} (y-intercept)

So again, the final answer is {{{y=(-3/4)x}}} and you can write it as {{{y=(-3/4)x+0}}} but I prefer {{{y=(-3/4)x}}} better.
