Question 921441
An athlete covers a total distance of 32km frpm point C to point S.
First he walks at a speed of 6km/hr to point G.
He finally runs at a speed, which is three times as fast as before, for 12km from point G to S.
----
1st part DATA:
rate = 6 km/hr ; distance = 32-12 = 20 km ; time = 20/6 hr = 3 1/3 hr
2nd part DATA:
rate = 18 km/hr; distance = 12 km ; time = 12/18  = 2/3 hr
--------------------
 1.Calculate the total time in hours taken to complete journey CS.
Total time = 3 1/3 + 2/3 = 4 hrs
