Question 910529
Good Evening Student. I hope this is helpful.
The first thing we need to find is the y intercept. As stated in the problem the y intercept is the point where the line touches the y axis. In this case it is -7. If you were to plot it on a graph it would be the point (0,-7).

The next thing that we need to find is the slope of the line. The slope is the rise/ run. The rise is Y and the run is X. Y goes up and down and X goes to the left or right.

From the problem we can deduce that the slope is 5/6. As stated in the problem we go up 5 units and then we go to the right 6 units.

Now, we can write this equation in the slope intercept format.

Y=5/6x-7.

to graph it, you mark the first point (0,7) on a graph. Next start at the point you just drew and count UP 5 units, then go to the RIGHT 6 units and make another point at (6,2). Next, draw a line connecting the 2 points. I hope this helps.
