Question 76237
A triangle has 3 sides,3x + 7,4x - 9, and 5x + 6.  find the expression that represents its perimeter.

Solution:

We know that the perimeter of the any polygon is given by the sum of all its sides. Here the sides of the triangle is given by:

3x + 7, 4x - 9 and 5x + 6

So adding all these sides, we get:

3x + 7 + 4x - 9  + 5x + 6

==> 3x + 4x + 5x + 7 - 9 + 6

==> 12x + 4

Hence, the perimeter of the triangle is given by 12x + 4

Hence, the solution.
