Question 897897
the measure of the supplement of an angle is 40 more than two times the measure of the complement of the angle. find the measure of the angle.
<pre>
Let angle's measurement be A
Then its supplement is:   180 - A
Also, its complement is:   90 - A
Therefore, 180 - A = 2(90 - A) + 40
           180 - A = 180 - 2A + 40
          - A + 2A = 180 + 40 - 180
A, or measure of angle = {{{highlight_green(40^o)}}}
