Question 892537
you can actually look this up in the internet.

i went to google and enter "gbp to dollars"

the most exact answer i got was this:

1 gbp is equal to 1.670255 USD

that says that 1 gbp is equal to 1.670255 us dollars.

going in reverse, then, you would get that 1 us dollars is equal to 1/1.670255 = .5987109753 gbp.

that would be close to .6.

this says that 700 us dollars * .5987109753 = 419.0976827 gbp (british pound sterline).

if you go with the rounded figure, that would be 700 us dollars * .6 = 420 us dollars.

you would be pretty close with the rounded figure.

1.5 and 1.5 are not correct figures.

i'm not sure where you got those.

rounding us dollars to gbp would be closer to 1.7, although you would probably want to use 1.67.

here's the link where i got the conversion formulas
