Question 889967
Train A leaves a station ½ hour ahead of train B. the trains travel on parallel tracks. Train A travels at 25 kilometers per hour while train B travels at 35 kilometers per hour. How many hours will it take train B to overtake train A?
speed of A train 25 km/hrs . train A will cover 12.5 km in 1/2 hrs
train B speed is 35 km /hours both train running in same direction . relative speed will be difference of both speed =35-25 =10km /hours
time taken to by train B to overtake train A=distance/speed
                                             =12.5/10=1.25 hours
or 1 hours 15 minutes
