Question 889418
Graph the parabola: y=(x+2)^2-4
To graph the parabola, plot the vertex and four additional points, two on each side of the vertex. Then click on the graph icon.
<pre>
{{{y = (x + 2)^2 - 4}}}
From the above equation, vertex of parabola, or (h, k) = (- 2, - 4)
Two x-values to the LEFT of h = - 2 are: {{{- 3_and_- 4}}}, which will give the two points, (- 3, - 3) and (- 4, 0)
Two x-values to the RIGHT of h = - 2 are: {{{- 1_and_0}}}, which will give the two points, (- 1, - 3) and (0, 0)
Use these four points, and the vertex to graph the parabola!
