Question 888645
{y=(1/3)x + 3
{-2x + y = -2

Might be easier in slope-intercept form:
{ {{{y=(1/3)x+3}}},  so has (0,3);
{ {{{y=2x-2}}}, so has (0,-2).
Use the slope to find other points on each line starting from its y-intercept. Vertical change divided by horizontal change is the meaning of slope.

{{{graph(300,300,-8,8,-8,8,(1/3)x+3,2x-2)}}}

They appear to intersect and therefore have a solution at about (3,4). You can check the values to see if they satisfy both equations.
