Question 886653
Arrange a general example and find what happens.

Try {{{f(x)=ax^2+bx+c}}} and {{{g(x)=dx^3+ex^2+hx+m}}}, assuming a,b,c,d,e,h,m are any nonzero real numbers.

The highest term which will occur when you find f(x)*g(x) will be {{{adx^5}}}. All of the other terms will be of degree less than 5. Try doing the multiplications and simplify.

Degree <b>5</b>.
