Question 73793
Write the equation of the line passing through each of the given pairs of points. Write your result in slope-intercept form, where possible.
(2,-3) and (2, 4)
Notice that the x values are the same in each point.  If we were to plot them and connect them, we'd have a vertical line.  This is a special case, the equation of a vertical line going through x=2 is {{{highlight(x=2)}}}
:
By the way the other special case is when the y's are the same. Say we had to write the equation of the line going through:
(-3,2) and (4,2)
If we were to plot them and connect them, we'd have a horizontal line going through y=2 and the equation would be "y=2".
Happy Calculating!!!
